Montreal, Canada, January 24, 2018. Lao Airlines, the national flag carrier of the LAO PDR, is excited to announce its acceptance of Visa and MasterCard as forms of payment in GDS systems, according to AirlinePros Canada, the airline’s Marketing and Commercial representative in Canada.

Currently, Lao Airlines (QV) flights can be booked and ticketed in the Amadeus, Sabre, and Apollo platforms across Canada, with an agency commission of 3% on published fares.

“With an average of over 100 daily flights, an ever expanding route network across South-East Asia, booking and ticketing Lao Airlines flights has never been easier,” commented AirlinePros Canada Director Karl Müller. “In addition, travelers can enjoy convenient connections on flights originating from Canada, operated by Lao Airlines’ interline and SPA partner carriers. This is particularly important for tour operators, FIT promoters, and corporate agencies, who need to book clients beyond traditional gateways in Asia, in order to arrive in Laos.”

About Laos
Often referred to as the “Undiscovered Jewel of Indochina”, Laos is a country of stunning and natural beauty, welcoming people, and a way of life whose charms and relaxed pace are impossible to resist. Laos brings together the best of Southeast Asia in a one bite-sized destination. Best time to visit is during the ‘Dry Season’, which is November through April. Temperatures typically range from 63°F to around 86°F. April also marks one of the most important dates in the Lao calendar: Pimai Lao – the Lao New Year, April 14 – 16, 2018. This is a time of celebration and endless fun, a time that has become synonymous with holiday, the celebration of Lao identity, the reinforcement of family bonds, and an opportunity to reflect on the year ahead.
