AirlinePros to represent Air Sierra Leone in the UK

AirlinePros International is pleased to announce its appointment as the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Air Sierra Leone in the United Kingdom (UK). The agreement aims to establish the airline’s market presence ahead of its new service connecting London Gatwick (LGW) with Freetown (FNA), set to launch on June 16, 2025, with three weekly flights operated by a Boeing 737-Max 8 aircraft. Bookings for this route are currently available through the airline’s website, with additional distribution models being explored.

Launched in late 2024, Air Sierra Leone began operations in January 2025 and will operate its new London-Gatwick service using a brand-new Boeing aircraft. As the flag carrier of Sierra Leone, the airline is focused on enhancing connectivity for both the Sierra Leonean diaspora and international travellers, offering competitive fares that promote tourism and business travel. With plans to expand its network into other parts of West Africa and Europe, Air Sierra Leone is poised to play a pivotal role in the growth of the country’s air travel market.

Linzi Barber, Regional Managing Partner of AirlinePros Northern Europe, said: “We are delighted to be entrusted with the representation of Air Sierra Leone in the UK. This partnership underscores our commitment to fostering connectivity and driving growth in the travel and aviation sector. We look forward to supporting Air Sierra Leone in achieving its ambitious goals and delivering exceptional value to travellers on this exciting new route.”

Augustine Bona, Head of Media, Communications & Public Relations at Air Sierra Leone, added: “This partnership reflects our commitment to global connectivity and proudly positioning Sierra Leone on the world aviation map.”

AirlinePros was honoured to attend a gala dinner in London, marking Air Sierra Leone’s inaugural flight on the new route – even more special as it fell on Sierra Leone’s National Day.

VIP guests included the Sierra Leone Transport Minister, the UK High Commissioner, and the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority in Sierra Leone. Other distinguished guests included the airline’s investors and senior management team, key industry experts, and members of the diaspora community.
