Zambia Airways is the national flag carrier of Zambia, headquartered in Lusaka. Originally established in 1964, the airline operated domestic, regional, and international flights from its main hub at Lusaka International Airport (now Kenneth Kaunda International Airport).
For several decades, Zambia Airways played a significant role in connecting the country to various parts of Africa and other continents, promoting tourism, business, and cultural ties. It ceased operations in 1994, but was revived in 2021 with the help of Ethiopian Airlines, which is now the largest airline in Africa based on the number of passengers, fleet size, and revenue.
