The modern Uganda Airlines was re-launched in 2019 and is based in Entebbe, however, Uganda Airlines as a brand first took to the skies in 1977 and operated until 2001.
Based at Entebbe’s Kampala International Airport, the carrier has a young fleet featuring the Bombardier CRJ-900 and Airbus A330Neo aircraft. By the end of 2021, Uganda Airlines’ route network will have grown to 20 destinations.
Existing routes include Kilimanjaro, Dubai, Juba, Mogadishu and Bujumbura, Entebbe and Mombassa. New routes include Johannesburg, Lusaka, Harare, DRC, Djibouti and Addis Ababa.
Charter services are available on request, accommodating religious travelers, cargo travel, conference attendees, presidential and government officials, VIPs, corporate customers, leisure charters and family travel.
Airport lounge access and excess baggage allowances may also be pre-purchased ahead of departure.
