Marcelo Soria is a seasoned aviation professional with over two decades of experience. He began his career with American Airlines in 1991, serving as Sales Manager and Acting Country Manager in Bolivia, where he quickly established a reputation for leadership and strategic insight.
In 2000, Marcelo joined Taca Airlines, progressing to key roles including Regional Manager for Bolivia and Sales Manager at the HUB Port in Peru. Following the Taca-Avianca merger, he continued to excel as Regional Manager for Bolivia and Paraguay until July 2018, overseeing operations, revenue growth, and market expansion across multiple countries.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Marcelo has played a pivotal role in aviation and diplomatic sectors. He served as President of the Bolivian Airline Association (ALA Bolivia) from 1999 to 2018, leading industry initiatives and advocacy efforts. Since 2013, he has been the Honorary Consul of El Salvador in La Paz and also served as President of SKAL International Club La Paz from 2012 to 2018, fostering global tourism and professional networking.
