Thilak Weerasinghe, Managing Partner of AirlinePros Sri Lanka, and Chairman of the LSR Group of Companies, is one of the most established names in Sri Lanka’s hospitality and tourism industry. Based in Colombo, he has over four decades of expertise in tourism, aviation services, and destination management. He has served on the boards of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka).

Combining entrepreneurial vision with a long-standing commitment to advancing Sri Lanka’s travel sector, Mr. Weerasinghe founded LSR in 1982 as a water and nature-based sports center, later expanding it into Lanka Sportreizen, a travel agency specializing in inbound and outbound tour operations. Under his leadership, LSR has grown into a diversified group spanning tour operations, hotel management, event management, water sports, and layovers in Sri Lanka (STPC) and other aviation services for SriLankan Airlines and other carriers. The group serves as the official agent for Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Weerasinghe strengthens airline partnerships and supports commercial growth across the local aviation and travel landscape as he also organizes major tourism events, including the LSR Colombo Marathon.  Mr. Weerasinghe continues to shape Sri Lanka’s hospitality and aviation sectors through strategic growth and community engagement with a strong commitment to sustainable tourism.
