On January 12th, 2020, after nearly two decades of being officially defunct, the new and reimagined Eastern Airlines landed at JFK airport from Guayaquil, Ecuador, heralding a new era for our storied US flag carrier. Today Eastern Airlines operates scheduled service from JFK to Guayaquil, Ecuador with service from JFK to Georgetown, Guyana and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on our horizon for the coming months.
As Eastern expands even further, our vision is to continue providing direct flights between large, US metropolitan cities and underserved international markets. Our non-stop flights, at the lowest fares, will and do make it possible for more people to fly by eliminating the wasted time of multiple stops and offering affordable fares often dramatically lower than the competition.
And when we are in the sky, our widebody, twin-aisle, long-range aircraft, gives us ample room to ensure all our passengers’ bags fly with them. With every ticket purchased on Eastern Airlines, no matter the fare, each customer is permitted to check at least one bag up to 70 pounds for free.
