As Account Manager you’ll be responsible for the planning and delivery of airline sales revenue, ensuring it aligns with each airline's objectives and sales plan.

You’ll work directly with the Canada sales team to drive sales revenue for our airlines and establish strong industry relationships across the assigned territory. You’ll be integral to providing sales data and insights to individual airlines as assigned. You will also be working closely with tourism bodies and other industry groups.

This role requires high levels of collaboration with team members and other stakeholders to ensure impactful, integrated activity that creates action toward the strategic goals of all of our airlines within the portfolio.

Airline Acccount Sales Manager, Greater New York

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing the market potential for assigned carriers to determine the value of existing and prospective trade customers in terms of sales opportunities
  • Developing and implementing the sales plans that deliver against the commercial strategy and revenue plan for the carriers within the AirlinePros portfolio.
  • Collecting and consolidating information to ensure sales targets are met.

  • Establishing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective trade partners to generate revenues for the airlines and AirlinePros.

  • Communicating and meeting regularly with relevant accounts to inform about new products, promotions and/or network adjustments to increase sales in order to reach or surpass the expected sales target.

  • Coordinating and drafting incentive agreements with select trade partners to ensure customer requirements are met effectively and in compliance with existing policies as approved by the airline.

  • Building a close relationship with the airlines, communicating effectively and following timely reporting guidelines.

  • Ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the sales pipeline.

  • Monitoring and analyzing performance data.

  • Monitoring the commercial landscape, collating, and disseminating competitor, and marketplaces insights, both internally and with the respective airlines

  • Supporting and shaping our culture, strategy, and ways of working, serving as a key member within the AirlinePros North America Commercial Team.

  • Working hand in hand with the CCO assuring quality work, strong brand presence and achievement of targets for the portfolio of airlines.

 

Qualifications:

Industry Experience preferred (travel agent or airline)

• Good written/ oral presentation and communication skills
• Analytical abilities to identify opportunities for assigned airlines
• Commercially-minded, organized and able to balance multiple client relationships
• Highly personable; able to identify and build relationships with clients
• Resourceful and results-oriented
• Flexible and readily available to resolve client issues

• Degree in a tourism related field and/or industry (airline or travel company)
• Demonstrate analytical thinking, creativity and initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and independently
• Command of Microsoft Office applications
• Good command of the English language
• Basic GDS knowledge a plus
